Alternate source for adding .NET framework to 2012 server or windows 8 desktop

Command line to Install .NET Framework on 2012 server

Insert the Windows 2012 DVD into the drive or if the server is VM mount the iso file through the VM properties or mount the DVD using another tool like WinCDEMU.

Run the following command from an elevated command prompt:

Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:<drive>:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess

    Uwed this command line again today on a nother new installation of Windows Server 2012 and it worked perfectly. Needed .NET framework on this server and the fastest way to install it was to run this command line. It was a virtual machine server and it already had the Windows 2012 DVD installation files mounted into the virtual cd/dvd drive.
